Floyd speaks
2006 Tour de France winner Floyd Landis has posted a letter on his website thanking fans for supporting him in the fight to clear his name and to expose what he calls a “corrupt, inefficient and unfair” anti-doping system.
Last week, an arbitration panel voted 2-1 to uphold Landis’ positive doping tests from the 2006 Tour de France. He called the majority opinion against him in last week’s arbitration ruling “scientifically flawed and illogical,” while praising the dissent as “straightforward and clear.”
Landis said he still has hope that justice will be served, and that he is exploring his options, which at this point appears to be limited to an appeal to the Court of Arbitration for Sports. He has one month to appeal to CAS.
