Here are distance and speed numbers from the Tour of Missouri to think about when you’re huffing and puffing (as 10 Speed does) on that false flat, 1 percent upgrade northbound on Grant’s Trail by Grant’s Farm …

Stage 1: 85.3 miles, 27.6 mph

Stage 2: 125.6 miles, 27.4 mph

Stage 3: 18 miles, 2,500 feet of climbing, 27.3 mph

Stage 4: 133.3 miles, 17 mph headwind, 26 mph

Stage 5: 126.8 miles, 26.2 mph

Stage 6: 74.2 miles, 28.3 mph
