Benefit bike ride Sunday

On Sunday morning, Big Shark will host its annual Sharktoberfest bike ride, this year in memory of Mike Lischke, who died last month at the age of 46.
Lischke is survived by his wife Pia and four children — Sean, Christopher, Aly, and Lauren. Memorial donations received Sunday will benefit the Lischke Education Fund or Trailnet.
The ride Sunday is 25 miles, with a longer route available. The ride will begin and end in Spanish Lake County Park.
Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., with the ride commencing after a moment of silence at 9 a.m.
After the ride, participants are invited to stay and watch the fourth event of the Bubba Memorial Cyclocross Series, from noon to 4 p.m.
