George Hincapie and me
Big George Hincapie and 10 Speed have a few things in common.
Both are 6-foot-4, both ride bicycles, both married women who performed on stage, and both now wear Hincapie Sportswear.
But - and this is a big butt (for 10 Speed anyway) — George’s Hincapie Sportswear is quite a bit smaller than 10 Speed’s. George’s svelte physique is reminiscent of the Body Worlds chaps now on display at the Science Center, all sinew and skeleton. 10 Speed is, uh, a plus-size - north of 250 pounds.
Also the George-esque-sizing of JDRF cycling clothing from Hincapie Sportswear borders on embarrassing for a big fella. The 2X large jersey is ridiculously snug. Same with the wicking T-shirt. So even though the cycling shorts fit, it is definitely not a good look.
Gives one incentive to slim down, tho.
