On Sunday night, the Big Shark Bicycle Company will host a Tour of Missouri recap party at the shop at 6133  Delmar, next door to the Pageant  east of Skinker and the U.City loop.

The festivities begin with a reception from 6 to 7 p.m., followed by a half-hour Q&A with some of the race organizers. Not sure whether that means The Big Shark himself, Mike Weiss, will do a half-hour of standup, or whether  some of the  Medalist Sports cats will be  in town.  

Finally, the  two-hour race recap video will be shown from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

In addition, there will  be a trivia competition (for fabulous autographed prizes) and an exhibit of photos from the Tour,  and of course Tour of Mo trinkets and apparel will be available for purchase. Lastly and perhaps most importantly,  beverages from  official Tour of Missouri liquid sponsors — Pepsi, Michelob Ultra and Missouri wines — will be available, presumably in abundance.

The beverages bring to mind 10 Speed’s chat with Danny Pate of Slipstream-Chipotle after the Tour’s conclusion in St. Louis. Pate sat outside the team van after Stage 6, with a bottle of Missouri wine in one hand and a wine glass in another. 10 Speed commended Pate for his choice of  a Missouri wine,  but Pate noted that it actually was a mixed drink — Missouri wine and Mountain Dew!
