Bike parking at Earth Day

Something about driving a car to Earth Day just doesn’t seem right.

It’s EARTH DAY, for gosh sakes, and one of the best ways to be green is to leave your vehicle at home and ride your bike to get there.

To facilitate this, the St. Louis Regional Bicycle Federation is offering free — FREE — bicycle parking at the Earth Day event Sunday at Forest Park. Trailnet and MoDot are partnering to supply the bike racks, and you may enjoy the festivities at the Muny without worrying about where to park your bike.

Another tip … Metrolink allows bikes on board and buses have bike racks, too, so you may travel to Earth Day by using a combination of public transportation and pedal power.

So, at least for Earth Day, it should be easy being green.
