Brad Huff of Springfield, Mo., will be back in action, starting today, at the Joe Martin Stage Race in Arkansas. The race concludes Sunday.
Huff, who went from Slipstream-Chipotle to Jelly Belly after last season, has been out all of this season recovering from a knee injury.
“A lot of iontophoresis therapy and tons and tons of sports specific work has enabled me to get back to the point to which I think I might actually be able to be a bike racer again!!!!” Huff stated on his website, bradhuff.missingsaddle.com. ”Tomorrow I step up to the plate with my very first race with the Jelly Belly Crew and let me tell you I am super excited….I just pray that all goes well. !!!!!!!”
St. Louisan Mike Lange will join Huff on the Jelly Belly roster for the Joe Martin race. Lange recently competed for Jelly Belly in the Tour de Georgia. Lange finished an impressive 25th overall in the TdG on the strength of his 20th place in the brutal climb to Brasstown Bald.
In addition to Huff and Lange, the THF Realty team directed by St. Louisan Dan Schmatz will feature four area riders: Brian Dziewa of Farmington, Terrence Keenan of Webster Groves, Austin Allison of St. Louis, Nolan Froese of Columbia and Brian Alfermann of Washington.
