Tour of Missouri rounds out its field
Canadian continental team Planet Energy has been tabbed as the 15th and final squad in the field for the Tour of Missouri, which begins Sept. 7 in St. Louis and ends Sept. 16 in Kansas City.
Planet Energy joins an All-Star lineup including seven teams that just finished competing in the Tour de France: Astana of TdF winner Alberto Contador, Columbia-HTC of sprinter extraordinaire Mark Cavendish, Garmin-Slipstream, Saxo Bank, Cervelo TestTeam, Quick Step and Liquigas. U.S. continental teams Jelly Belly, OUCH/MAXXIS, BISSELL, Colavita/Sutter Home, Kelly Benefit Strategies and Team Type 1 also are in the fold, as is domestic squad BMC.
Teams have yet to name their specific lineups for the race.
Specific routes for the ToM stages will be announced Thursday.
