Thanks for the apology, but you are right. It doesn’t help, not at all.

And it wouldn’t help if all of the human traffickers who steal 15 year old girls from all over the world and sell them into prostitution apologized.

And it wouldn’t help if all of the muslim men who make women walk around in burkas in 150 degree heat and keep them chained to their kitchens with no hope of getting an education or ever being respected apolozized.

And it wouldn’t help if all of the Asian men who made women walk around in horrible shoes that are 10 sizes too small for them causing their feet to turn into disgusting rock-like things apologized.

And it wouldn’t help if all of the Chinese men who made their wives either abort or all out murder any female children they may have apologized.

And it wouldn’t help if all of the nasty white trash males who beat their wives sensless and rape their girlfriends and daughters and kill their families because they work for Joyce Meyers and want to get a divorce without having to pay any child support (yes, I am talking to you Chris Coleman) apologize.

Nope, it wouldn’t help at all. Because in the end, if there is one thing that all males of any color; Black, White, Asian, Indian, Arab, Mexican etc… can agree on is that women are the one group it is okay to discriminate against. Hey, what else do women exist for anyway if not for men to control them or use their for their own sexual pleasure at any time or place?

See, black males are not the only ones who are owed an apology. Far from it. However, I don’t run around living my life expecting that I am going to get one. And really, I don’t want one. Because, in the end, it doesn’t change a thing.

Thomas, good to see you posting in here again. You always bring something of value to the conversation.

As to the tone of these posts, I have to admit I am rather surprised by it all. Not the opinions, but the fervor with which they are being made. All over an apology that fixes nothing, changes nothing, and will be forgotten eventually…

This conversation CAN spark some resentment, but if it is taken in the accurate context of how its meant rather than absorbing as a personal attack, then we might get someplace. I advocate open discussions! If I don’t like you, and you don’t know WHY I don’t like you, and you don’t ask, then how is it to be resolved? In my opinion, there are blacks, and then there are ‘blacks’, (and before anyone yells, yep, the same goes for whites - but not in the same numbers)…I don’t have a problem with the black people that want to live their lives as responsible, hardworking, family people and be a benefit to a society we live in - BUT, I do have a problem with, to coin a phrase from ThomasFranklin, the dregs of that race, that make all the good people look bad in the eyes of others! SOOOOOOO, if you as a black, responsible person, KNOW that is what is going on, and maybe some of these blights on society live in your area, then take a step forward, yank em up by the shirt collar, and try to get them straightened out! YOU call the cops on them, don’t wait for some one else to do it! Take a proactive stance in cleaning up your own people! There aren’t enuf cops around - form neighborhood watch meetings and talk about resolving the criminal issues! Take a part and BE a part in cleaning up the area where you live! Yank some chains, call some cops, report the crimes, and bless those that aren’t committing them but trying their best to be good folks! Work together to form a coalition of ‘making my area better” and also the people that live there,too! BE ACTIVE IN YOUR COMMUNITY AND COOPERATE WITH COPS ABOUT DRUG HOUSES, ETC. IT WILL PAY OFF IN THE END! They need all the assistance they can get, and the more eyes on a community the better they can do their jobs. Go get ‘em!!!!

Can not argue with a thing you posted there Purdy. Dang it! It is up to us, I mean all of us, to take action when we see wrongdoing accuring. To me, those that do nothing are just as guilty as the criminals. You can not live your life in fear. We must stand up to these dregs.
Sometimes I do take things to personally, that is a charracter flaw I have.
Let me explain myself a bit if I can. My wife is a polynesian woman mistaken for caucasian by most. We were wed when a black man and a white woman together were looked on as evil. The attacks on her put me over the edge for quite some time. I guess it is still with me, for we still get some pretty nasty comments made to us.
I go on the offensive pretty dang fast. Sorry if I come on a bit strong at times.
Now, let me tell you and Thing something truly important. Being this is one of my days off I decided to work on my Mustang. IT IS FRIGGING HOT! Maybe I should install a AC in my garage!

Joey, true men do not treat the ladies that way. We look upon woman as we do our mothers, with love and respect. That is how it should be. I am not afraid to admit that women are our equals, in some cases our superiors. I know I could not give birth.
Heck, when my daughter was born I was flat on my back in the delivery room.

Franklin, knowing oneself well to admit a flaw is a beginning of healing! You MUST consider the comments and the context in which it is stated, and, since the commentators do not know you are even here, it cannot be directed to you personally! Get it? I admit thin skin, on certain subjects, but have found if I grit my teeth, think about it, I will discover that isn’t directed to ME as an individual, but might be to a group instead. Then my dander decides to go back to normal, and I can respond in a somewhat rational manner (I think its rational - at least it seems like it to me)Ha!
There is racial feelings out there on both sides, however, an apology such as dictated here is fruitless and its just putting a bit of salve on an old wound, but if you want it to actuall HEAl, then get the parents and the G.P’s together and inform them in no uncertain terms to forget about teaching their offspring to ‘remember’ slavery, etc. because that IS what is being taught so it keeps an old wound open, and for what? Who is it hurting? It’s hurting the kids that are brought up to be mean and hateful and full of resentment. I think parents and grandparents that are guilty of teaching this bigotry and hatred to the members of their families is a despicable thing to do! It only harms that child! And that child is taught to play it foward! Most unfortunate to take a child and build in resentment and hatred on purpose, all for an event in time and history that is too old to be worthwhile now. What is over, is over, and should be left to die a natural death! So,if you folks are teaching your children this kind of garbage then you need to make a ‘change’, a drastic change so those kids might have a chance to live a more normal life! White’s are NOT the enemy, your own families are the enemy if this is what is going on there!

Thomas Franklin, I have to question your sanity if you are restoring a Mustang in a garage with no AC in this heat.

I think that teaching history, that there was a period in our country that slavery was LEGAL, is fine. At the same time you have to instill that it is history, there is no longer a reason to hate a group of people because of it. That is what we taught our kids, somewhat by example. How could thay hate their Mom just because she is white?
I will stick to my guns about the apology though. If they can apologize and compenstae Japanese that were intered during WWII, then at least blacks and native Americans should at least get congressional lip service.
