Eric Holder’s provocative words get lots of attention
The Washington Times has an interesting follow on the comments by Attorney General Eric Holder in which there is some speculation that he used the words he did because he knew they would get attention. According to the Times, “more than 1,000 news stories appeared within 24 hours, chronicling both outrage at Mr. Holder’s tone and glee over his Obama-style audacity.”
“If he had made his point in some dull way, everyone would have said, ‘Oh, shut up,’” said Richard Laermer, a Manhattan public relations consultant. “No one could have blogged about it, or ‘twittered’ about it in 140 characters or less. That’s how Americans get information these days. And Holder is right: We don’t talk about race, out of fear we’ll push the wrong buttons.”

Hopefully Mr. Holder’s boss was listening. His boss is one of the people who is part of this problem. His race-baiting during the campaign was designed to keep whites silent. His racist church also is a big part of the problem. This isn’t the US of the KKK A (unless you are Robert Byrd). We are a much more tolerant nation and it is time for whites to not be ashamed to speak up when we are being discriminated against or falsely accused of racism.
I am white, but I am more proud of just being an American.
Many whites are really getting sick of race baiting comments like Holder’s. I know I am.
There’s a lot of things we don’t talk about out of fear we’ll push the wrong buttons. Race, sex, religion and politics come to mind when I’m sitting on a bar stool. So what?
Watch out. Comments like this coming from a black attorney general are downright scary. More government sponsored open discrimination against European Americans is on the way.
Congratulations! What started out as ”a conversation about race”–something the kibbutzunist-tool press and their acolytes can never profit from–to a conversation promoting racismism.
Mission accomplished.

It’s what WE do! It’s what THEY do! I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again, it’s about POWER. They as a group now have a Blackman you say he’s bi-racial he’s still a product of a Black man. They have the top cop of our country Holder, we will see what they do with the power.
Good luck Black people the spot light is on you now.
I agree, we should all definitely have more talks about how we should talk about race.
And, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me the word “twitter” and any form of it is NOT going to be the new buzz word! It’s just a new word for texting for Christs sake!
Does kibbutzunist and acolytes go together?
Consider this: when a public figure makes a statement that sets off a firestorm, it usually means that what he/she said touched some live nerves. Sometimes things need to be said.
When my daughter was a very young child and had just begun speaking in sentences and so innocent, she was sitting next to this extremely obese lady and began chattering away with this lady. The lady was really enjoying my daughters company and talking to her very much. Then my daughter being so sweet and inquisitive asked right out of the blue, “why are you so fat and not little like my mom?” I thought I was going to die from my embarrassment. She kept trying to asked more embarrassing questions something totally off the wall about does it feel like air in a balloon…., I couldn’t shut her up and had to grab her hand and lead her away apologizing to this lady. Of course, I had to explain to her that such questions could hurt the feelings of the people who were very large.
“Race” just like obesity, we should not and MUST not discontinue talking about it’s dangers, health risks and other damages. With obesity, we have learned to address and bring awareness to all the negatives of obesity without cowardness but out of good intentions. This country did not stop addressing obesity because the subject would make some uncomfortable but, we learned to master the subject without being insulting and out of concern to change the condition of the obese. We must find this same ground with racism. We must continue to talk about racism and its effects in this same not ignoring its obvious effects on society and stop pulling the wolves over our eyes.
For example, I belonged to a church that had a somewhat integrated membership in keeping with the surrounding community that it was located in which was about 8% Black. The church aired a conference on race relations and racism and it was aired in churches across the entire U.S. this particular Sunday and, the speaker and conference on race and racism was remarkable, I have not seen anything like it since. Strange however, I could not even obtain a recording of this conference through our church, no information what so ever was offered or available. I wish toady that I had tried harder but it was as though no one in the church or our bookstore knew anything and made did not make any real effort to obtain any information for me.
But after the aired conference on Race and Racism the Pastor stated really fast and matter of fact that we didn’t have those kind of problems there and brushed it off just like that and not another word was ever mentioned about it. The funny thing is, there were thousands of members and many that I knew from outside the church who happen to go there. I can tell you that there were members in that church that had this problem and others with many, many other sin problems that were lifestyles in that church. (Lol). But too many times this is how people handle racism, DENYING IT EXISTS.
Now, how could the Pastor speak on behalf of the thousands of members in that church and how they behave once they left the church building? It is all just so crazy and this is why Attorney General Holden stated that we are a “Nation of Cowards”. Its true! And when the church is cowardly, it is a disgusting shame.
