Lambert Airport’s high-flying carpet
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
For the first time since it opened, the East Terminal at Lambert St. Louis International Airport is getting new carpet. All 9,000 square feet of that old, stained stuff is getting ripped up and replacing it with a view from 35,000 feet. The new carpet is supposed to make passengers feel like they are flying. It “features a custom design that mimics the patchwork of crops and fields passengers might see if they were looking down from a plane,” Lambert’s press release says.
