The Lindbergh Boulevard tunnel near Hazelwood will close the next four nights for maintenance.

The Missouri Department of Transportation maintains the quarter-mile tunnel beneath a live runway at Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. A MoDOT spokesman said crews will wash the interior of the tunnel and the pavement, beginning tonight.

Northbound lanes will be closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. tonight and Tuesday night, and southbound lanes will be closed during the same hours on Wednesday and Thursday nights.

Lindbergh is a popular north-south route between Interstates 70 and 270. Motorists can avoid the closures by using Interstate 70, Natural Bridge Road, Interstate 70 and McDonnell Boulevard.
