Two-wheeled scavenger hunt
If you missed the Crank and Click scavenger hunt bike ride in May, you’ll have another chance next month. Another biking urban adventure is on the calendar.
The Urban Assault Ride is planned for August 16, the first time the ride has come to St. Louis.The hunt involves two-person teams that ride to checkpoints around town where they must complete obstacle courses, like do a human wheel barrow, bike jousting or a paper boy relay. There are riddles to solve along the way.
The first team to finish wins a pair of limited edition cruiser bikes.
The ride is sponsored by New Belgium Beer as a green event to encourage more bicycling. St. Louis sponsors include Big Shark, Mesa Cycles, BicycleWORKS and City Museum. To sign up or for more information, go to www.urbanassaultride.com.
