Something needs to be done to provide north/south access across 40/64. There is a large population that needs to cross the highway, not get on it. Brentwood is horrible. The lights are not timed going south and one lane is closed at 40/64 for no reason. When Hanley closes that will leave Big Bend, until it closes and Brentwood as they only major crossing points. Then when Big Bend & Hanley are closed… I hope Gateway wasn’t planning on everyone else going through the neighborhoods of Richmond Heights on Boland, Bellevue, Claytonia Highland & Laclede Station (oh sorry that’s closing too!) And if their only advise is to “avoid peak times” I’m wondering are they going to call my boss for me to explain why I’m late. Or maybe I should just go in 2 hours early and stay 2 hours later. All I can say is great plan, well thought out Gateway!!! I am hoping that the “engineers” on the project have more up their sleeve if not 2009 will be one long, continuous commute.

When are they going to finish the bridge work on Delmar east of Skinker? This was to be my primary alternate to get downtown from my home in U City, but the reduction to one lane on the bridge has created major bottlenecks during rush hour. Where was the forethought and planning??? This should have been completed before the closure!

Why has the timing on the lights at Lindbergh and the Chaminade u-turn lane changed……. the light stays longer for lindbergh heading north and south…. did you think we wouldn’t notice…… it is a big problem…. come by and take a look at 7:15 - 8:00 am

The traffic on Forest Park Parkway
is really jammed up during peak times by the stop lights at Jackson, in U City, and
Des Peres east of Skinker. Seems it would really help traffic flow to close down those two
street entrances for now while Highway 40/64 is being redone. Both, when I have driven
in the area during peak flow times, stop maybe 45 or more cars for one or two cars entering Forest Park
Parkway…..Those streets and the people that live around them have other routes (Big Bend, Skinker etc)and
entrances that would not impede the flow of traffic on FPPW.

Thanks

I work on Watson Rd in Crestwood and this road has not been salted or plowed. It is extremely dangerous. When I complained to the City of Crestwood I was told this was a MODOT issue. I have emailed MODOT but have not heard back as yet. This is an ongoing problem. Can you help?
