Travel times on Highway 40’s alternate routes are starting to stabilize. The Missouri Department of Transportation is posting drive times for numerous routes on its website, and comparing them with drive times before the current closure. These numbers could help you figure out which roads to take and the best and worst times to drive them.
Click here to see the travel times. Click on “arterial travel times” for each date, and note that there are different posts for morning and evening rush hours.

Then MODOT came along and did the signs on eastbound I-64:
3 miles out - Detour I-170
2 miles out - Detour I-170
1 mile out - Detour I-I70
As you come around the big curve into the last exit, on the BRENTWOOD BLVD sign it says I-64 DETOUR, then below it,All TRAFFIC MUST EXIT. How confusing!!! These signs would be pretty tough for the uninitiated!
