More bridges close on I-55

Crews are moving down the list of seven bridges that need to be rehabbed along Interstate 55 in St. Louis’s Soulard neighborhood. On Tuesday, the bridge that carries Utah Street over I-55 will close so crews can remove the bridge deck and repair sidewalks. On Wednesday, the Pestalozzi bridge will close for the same kind of work. Both should reopen later this summer, according to MoDOT.
The bridge that carries Lafayette Avenue over I-55 has been closed since March. Look for it to reopen in early June.
