Traffic returns to Hampton overpass

The Hampton Avenue overpass at Highway 40 (Interstate 64) reopened around 1 p.m. today after eight months of construction. As with other milestones in Highway 40 construction, this one came with a ribbon cutting. This morning a crowd from Forest Park Hospital gathered on the bridge to celebrate with St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay, officials from MoDOT, Gateway Constructors and Forest Park.
