Richmond Heights fights Big Bend traffic

The closure of the Big Bend overpass at Highway 40 (Interstate 64) has sent traffic to quiet neighborhood streets in Richmond Heights, such as Claytonia Terrace, Boland Place and Moorlands Drive.

This afternoon, small sections of those three streets will become one-way. This is to keep drivers on Clayton Road from using them as cut throughs. Boland Place and Moorlands Drive will both be northbound only from Brookline Drive to Clayton Road.  Claytonia Terrace will be northbound only from Ethel Avenue to Clayton Road.

The streets will be converted back once the Hanley Road overpass reopens, some time before the end of August. The Big Bend overpass is scheduled to be closed until Dec. 1.

Yea, can’t have that pesky riff-raff driving thru the rich folks ‘hoods.

Funnel them over to Dale so the RH cops can hand out even more traffic tickets. The Hwy 40 closure is turning out to be the best thing that ever happened for RH “revenue enhancement”!
