All-Star traffic closures

Among the lane and road closures during Tuesday’s All-Star Game is one big one. Highway 40 (Interstate 64) will close near Busch Stadium. At 5 p.m., all lanes between the Poplar Street Bridge and 14th Street will be shut down for security and public safety puposes, the Missouri Department of Transportation has announced. Lanes will reopen when the game ends.

Anyone driving to the game are advised to start planning alternative routes. The exit from eastbound Highway 40 at 14th Street will be the last exit open. Those heading west across the Poplar Street Bridge can take Interstate 55 and Interstate 70/Memorial Drive.

Here are the scheduled ramp and lane closures between now and Tuesday:

Today through Sunday, the ramp from northbound I-55 to Memorial Drive; westbound I-70 at the Poplar Street Bridge to Memorial Drive.

Saturday, starting at 6 a.m.,  eastbound I-70 to Pine Street and Memorial Drive will close.

On Monday, these ramps will remain closed: Northbound I-55/I-44 to Memorial Drive; eastbound I-70 to Pine Street and Memorial Drive. These ramps will reopen: westbound I-70 at the Poplar Street to Memorial before rush hours. While this ramp is open, access from Memorial will be restricted.

Tuesday, both sides of Highway 40 (I-64) will close at 5 p.m. from the Poplar Street to 14th Street.

No closures are planned for Wednesday.
