Richmond Heights to remove some restrictions

In June, critics called Richmond Heights elitist when restrictions went up on neighborhood streets south of Clayton Road, keeping motorists from using them to get around closures at Big Bend Boulevard and Highway 40 (Interstate 64).
At 1 p.m. Friday, some of these restrictions are scheduled to be removed. The Richmond Heights City Council has decided to return the length of Boland Place and Claytonia Terrace to two-way traffic. Since June, Boland had been northbound only between Brookline Terrace and Clayton Road. Claytonia had been northbound only between Ethel Avenue and Clayton.
For now, restrictions will remain on Moorlands and Highland Terrace.
