Fun on the Freeway run

More than 1,200 runners have signed up so far to do the Fun on the Freeway 5K run Dec. 14 on the rebuilt section of Highway 40. This run requires preregistration, so click here to sign up through the St. Louis Track Club. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 12. Runners can also sign up at St. Louis Track Club offices, 6136 Southwest Avenue from 9 a.m. to noon on the 11th and 12th.

The run is attracting more runners than the Track Club expected. Even so, there should be T-shirts for everyone. “We’re going to reorder everything,: said Glen Eckelman of the Track Club. The run will begin at Ballas Road, turn around at Lindbergh Boulevard and finish at Ballas.
