Win free rides for one year
The American Public Transportation Association is offering one year of free public transportation to the winner of a video contest. The contest is part of today’s Dump the Pump Day, when transit systems nationwide try to get drivers out of their vehicles and onto buses and trains.Simply make a video explaining why you’re dumping the pump today and throughout the summer. The video could focus on the economic and environmental benefits of using transit, quality of life issues, etc.
The contest ends Aug. 13. The winner gets a year of free public transportation on their local transit system. Finish in second place and receive a six-month transit pass. Whoever finishes third will receive three months worth of free transit.
