In Sunday’s Along for the Ride, we told you about an email hoax claiming that cell phones have been linked to fires at service stations. Static electricty has been linked to fires, but not cell phone use. There are dozens of transportation-related  rumors flying around the internet. To check them out for yourself, go to the sources cited in the email. Here are several websites that check the claims of these email rumors.
