Mega-winner

St. Louis Post-Dispatch

The soaring cost of gasoline and airline tickets convinced Dana Bellers of St. Charles to find a different way to get to Chicago last month. So, she got online and booked a round trip on Megabus for $40. And then she got a phone call.

Bellers, 27, who works for Wachovia Securities as an information technology analyst, happened to be the one millionth person to book on Megabus, a low-cost bus line and subsidiary of Coach USA. When she arrived in Chicago, company executives awarded her with a Dell laptop computer and Chicago tour bus passes. All for booking a cheap trip to the Windy City at just the right moment.

“I was seriously blown away,” Bellers said. “I never win anything.”

Tickets on Megabus can only be booked online at www.megabus.com.
