It’s a nice bridge but I think it will detract from the Arch. I wish it were more of a flat profile like the replacement bridge in Minn.

That looks like the original design. I thought it was judged to be too expensive and lead to the stalemate between the states. I can’t believe the newer, cheaper bridge will look anything like this…

Just two lanes each way? Yet, again, bad forward thinking. Where will we be in 50 years? Either come up with the money to build a four lane each way bridge or don’t waste money on a bridge that will be insufficient in the coming years.

Yeah, it’ll look like that if it were being built in the middle of nowhere! I know neither the STL or IL riverfronts look like that - where’s beautiful downtown Sauget, with its near-toxic fumes? And only two lanes? Who are they kidding?
