McKinley Bridge to close Friday
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
Both lanes of the McKinley Bridge will close at 6 p.m. Friday for safety upgrades. The Illinois Department of Transportation sent out a release this afternoon to remind motorists of the closure, which will allow crews to grind a rumble strip along the center line of the bridge. The rumble strip will alert drivers who begin to cross the line. It’s one of several measures the department is taking to prevent cross over accidents over the Mississippi River. The bridge should reopen by 5 a.m. Monday.
The McKinley Bridge crosses the Mississippi River north of downtown St. Louis.

I assume this wouldn’t affect the bike lanes on the bridge. Is that correct, as far as you know?
Be careful - they’ll probably close the west bound lane.
Yes, you’re correct. The closure will not affect the bike lanes.
