MEQUON, Wis. (Camp Day 6/early report)
Torry Holt and Orlando Pace are bunking together, meaning that 14 Pro Bowl selections (seven apiece) are represented in a single room at Coburg Hall.
Pace gives Holt passing — but not glowing — marks as a roomie. “We’re kind of complete opposites. He stays up and has tons of energy, and I’m trying to get some rest,” Pace said. At 6-7 and 325 pounds, Pace gets the final say.
“He knows what when the lights are out and the door is shut, there’s no music,” Pace said. “So, he’s cool.”

The MRI exam on offensive lineman Mark Setterstrom revealed a slight muscle strain near his right knee that should keep him out just a day or two. He experienced numbness in his lower leg prior to Tuesday afternoon’s practice. “Ill be fine,” Setterstrom said as he watched Wednesday morning’s workout from the sideline. “As soon as they get the swelling down, I’ll be back out here.”
Tight end Joe Klopfenstein (back), wide receiver Marques Hagans (hamstring), cornerback Tye Hill (thigh), center Brett Romberg (hand) and linebacker Vince Hall (hamstring) are the latest additions to the injury report.
Although the list of wounded is growing, none of the injuries is serious enough to extend to the start of the regular season.
“Sixth day of camp . . . it’s nothing unusual,” coach Scott Linehan said. “We just put the next guys in. You’ve got to push guys through them, but at the same time you’ve got to take care of some of those soft-tissue type of injuries that come with training camp.”
All for now . . . more after the late practice.
