From Earth City to Arrowhead in just 3 hours
KANSAS CITY – Colleague Jim Thomas and I just arrived at Arrowhead Stadium. With Parnelli Thomas at the wheel, the drive from Rams Park in Earth City took only three hours.
The Rams flew to KC this morning, made the 40-minute bus ride from the airport to a hotel across I-70 from the stadium (which was about the length of the flight), and now several players are on the field beginning to warm up. Normally, the team travels the day before the game, but Scott Linehan wanted to get in one more day of work at Rams Park.
Even though it’s a preseason game, the atmosphere at Arrowhead is always terrific. We noted that a number of tailgates already had begun in the vast parking lot that encircles the stadium. These folks know how to do football.
