Bulger back with first team

The first Rams practice under Jim Haslett began at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, and it soon was evident that at least one thing had changed: Marc Bulger was back with the first team at quarterback.

“Marc will be the starting quarterback for the rest of the year, unless something happens,” Haslett said.

The defensive line looked much like it did Sunday, with Clifton Ryan at nose tackle, Adam Carriker at the other tackle, Chris Long at right end, and Leonard Little and Victor Adeyanju sharing time at left end. The linebackers were Pisa Tinoisamoa, Chris Draft and Quinton Culberson (Will Witherspoon was out with an injury). The secondary was unchanged, with Jason Craft in for Tye Hill.

It was interesting that the No. 1 offense went against the No. 1 defense for much of the workout. Normally, the top units don’t go head-to-head. The team was in shoulder pads and shorts.

All for now . . . more this afternoon.

Wayne YOU are a joke. Are you kidding me? Your a PSL holder and your going to turn a blind eye to a $65 million dollar contract? What are you paying to see? Bulger is a PRO BOWL QB. I hope you sell your PSLs, I’m sick of fans like you. Why do you show up??

Until Mark proves he can throw the ball away like Trent did last week or avoid the first rusher thru the line, buy time and deliver,,sit his butt down. I hope he doesn’t come back and just let the defender level him like he’s done in the past. Run, Forrest, run!!

Hey Justin….can you please explain to me the reasoning behind keeping Bulger in the game again, JUST BECAUSE HE IS WORTH $65 MILLION DOESN’T MEAN HE SHOULD STAY IN THE GAME!? Sorry, but that is the defeatist’s attitude!! Just because the organization was stupid enough to pay him the money, doesn’t mean we should play an overpaid, incompetent QB! Let me remind you of something else….Bulger WASN”T EVEN going to play for Linehan even if he was reinstated…EVEN THOUGH HE IS WORTH $65 MILLION IN OVERPAID MONEY…a genuine two year old mentality!! I wish I could play for a crappy coach with THAT price tag, what a little b*tch Bulger is turning out to be! The Rams are notorious for overpaying for a lack of talent while dumping the under paid players like Ike! Anyone remember the “Bus”….he was just one of many we dumped and then turned around and overpaid others! The Rams front office is hideous at making decisions and the fans (like Wayne) shouldn’t have to be held accountable even when the obvious is taking place on the field of play! AND QUIT REPEATING THE SAME OLD CRAP EVERY OTHER BULGERITE SCREAMS, “he’s a pro bowl quarterback!” You are horribly confused, because I wouldn’t vote for his sorry @$$ for the this years pro bowl and I sure as hell didn’t see him in last years pro bowl either! Also, let me remind you, that despite his good season in freaking 2006 (2 years ago)…..he only played in that pro bowl because someone backed out (I believe it was McNabb…I could be wrong)! It’s called the “reserve list”, your good….but not that good enough kind of pro bowler! I am glad you are sick of fans like us, that makes me laugh….apparently, we are not allowed to complain about a crappy product! At least we want to win….even if it means changing the QB! We do, Justin, share the same hope my fellow Rams fan, in that the Rams can pull it together and win, cause I sure as hell don’t want to be the first team to go 0-16 (the Buccs went 0-14 back in the eighties, or was that the late 70s!??)….anyways, I’m sure we can agree on that at least! Oh, and one last thing…..Wayne is not a “joke”…..I believe the Rams hold that title all by themselves!

i think putting bulger back in was a big mistake. look at his track record so far this season. in the first 3 games total, he has a little over 500 yards passing. we put green in for one game, he threw for over 250 yards! in one game! that’s half of what bulger did for all three games! what does that tell you? KEEP GREEN IN THE GAME!!!!

As an objective NFL fan from NC, I think it is clear that Bulger should be the Rams’ starter. It’s also clear that the Rams have talent, particularly at the offensive skill positions. As with any team, the skill players can be rendered ineffective if a team is unable to control the line of scrimmage. The Rams must focus on putting the very best five lineman they can find on the field, trading for linemen if necessary before the trade deadline. If you open holes for Jackson and give Bulger time to survey the field, the offense will produce. The same must be said for the defense. The front seven are critical to controlling the game. Neglecting the talent level in the trenches was Matt Millen’s downfall in Detroit and the Rams should learn from that strategic blunder.
