Jackson sensitive to fans’ feelings
Steven Jackson lowered his head and sighed when asked Thursday how his sore groin was feeling. “The groin is fine,” he said. “My groin doesn’t bother me any more than my feelings in my heart.”
Jackson has been slightly limited in practice this week, but he’s sensitive to the Rams fans’ feelings toward him after his 27-day training camp holdout. He sought to assure that he’ll be on the field Sunday vs. the Bills, pounding away.
And that the Rams dreadful showing so far this season, which led to quarterback Marc Bulger’s demotion this week, is bothering him greatly.
His health “won’t be a problem Sunday,” Jackson said, adding that he didn’t want fans to think that “I’m going to be less than 100 percent. I’m going to go out there and play hard. There’s not going to be an excuse, if we win or we lose. . . . However I perform, it’s not going to be because of my groin.”

Notes & quotes:
*Even after his worst games, Bulger consistently has stood up to reporters’ questions. But he’s declined to be interviewed in the wake of coach Scott Linehan’s decision to go with Trent Green vs. the Bills.
*Adjusting to a new quarterback isn’t too tall a challenge, T Orlando Pace explained: “The only adjustment you have to make is the snap count. Every quarterback has a different snap count, how they call their ‘huts,’ their cadence.”
*Pace, on Bulger’s benching: “Hopefully I do my job so I don’t get replaced.”
*Linehan, on Green’s performance in practice this week: “It doesn’t take long to get back on the horse. Trent’s got great command of the offense. He’s just being himself and just getting himself ready to do his job.”
*Rookie WR Keenan Burton, on initially being reluctant to undergo knee surgery after being hurt in the opener: “I wanted to get the respect of my teammates first and foremost, and show the coaches that regardless of what happens, I’ll definitely be there for them and I’ll do what they ask me to do.”
All for now . . .

The Rams have talent. I’m glad Linehan decided to make changes, any changes, but I still beleive he needs to go. Bulgers benching might be a blessing in disguise and he may avoid serious injury. Im worried about Green due to the O Lines shoddy play. It boils down to protection no matter who is behind center. Linehan should replace Ingognito and Barron with Schuening and Greco. As a matter of fact all young players should start and let them develop. The scores can get no worse.
It pains me to say it, but for the first time I will be rooting against my beloved Rams. Linehan needs to go, at first I felt sorry for him, but benching Bulger is just stupid, did he know Green’s record with Miami before he was injured to the brink of retiring?(he was either 0-4 or 0-5). I am hoping for a blowout, a message needs to be sent. This year is a waste that should have been prevented. I will root for any interim who works hard and gets this team to play hard, with the right players. If the change of coach makes things worse, I will still cheer hard for this team for making a change and be patient while wrong gets righted.
With all of the reports out of Rams Park recently, linehan looks worse and worse by the day and headline. I know this isn’t all of his fault, but win or lose a change needs to be made. There is way too much negative energy looming around Rams park.
If I was Linehan, I would NOT let Bulger near the bench. THAT POOR Sport would try to sabotage the teams efforts……..Go home Bulger and use your crying towel there…….POOR SPORT
