Knee keeps Avery on sideline

The regular-season debut of the first wide receiver taken in this year’s draft apparently is at least a week away. Donnie Avery, the Rams’ second-round pick, again was unable to practice Friday, eight days after spraining his right knee in the preseason finale at Kansas City.

With Avery almost surely out , veteran Dane Looker probably will have an increased role inĀ  Sunday’s opener in Philadelphia. Seems like a just reward for Looker, who had an outstanding training camp.

All for now . . . more later this afternoon.

I agree, Donnie is fast can catch, but can he stay healthy? He def has a lot of pressure on him now to prove that he was worth a higher pick than jackson was. Bennett IR him now cant stay healthy, and try and get one of our released guys back…Stanley would be my choice.
