Rams can’t get off the ground
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
In order to win in Philadelphia, the Rams first must get to Philadelphia. As of late Saturday afternoon, they hadn’t be able to do that.
Because the remnants of Hurricane Hanna were pounding the East Coast, many flights were delayed, including the Rams’ charter out of Lambert. The team was scheduled to depart at 1:30 p.m.; as of 3:30, they still were awaiting the go-ahead to leave.
Colleague Jim Thomas and I are having the same problem. Our U.S. Airways flight was to take off at 1:38 p.m. It’s been delayed five times, and now is supposed to go at 4:30. We’ll see . . .
Hopefully this isn’t some kind of omen for the season ahead.
All for now . . .

Here we go again!!! Linehan & Haslett need to go, they can’t motivate and obviously can’t coach this team. This team is flat and what happened to the secondary? Please not another year of this “subprime” football team,
Greg in Louisville
It is one thing to go to Philly and get beat but to lose as bad as they are and not be ready to play is on the coaches, period. They ought to be ashamed.
