Rumors abound at the Dome

Kickoff is 90 minutes off and rumors are flying at the Dome, mostly courtesy of the national media. Linehan is out no matter what; Linehan is out only if the Rams get blown out; Vermeil tells the front office to keep Linehan; etc., etc.

Of course, most of these pundits aren’t privy to the day-in and day-out goings-on at Rams Park and have little or no contact with Chip Rosenbloom.

Here’s what more informed sources are saying: If the Rams get pounded again, Rosenbloom pulls the trigger. If the Rams win, Linehan stays for now. If the Rams lose a close one . . . that’s yet to be determined.

Here are the Rams’ inactives:

*Brock Berlin (3rd QB)

*WR Keenan Burton

*RB Antonio Pittman

*S Brannon Condren

*G Roy Schuening

*T John Greco

*WR Drew Bennett

*DE Eric Moore

All for now . . . more after game

The Rams have talent. First Im glad Linehan has finally adopted the concept of situation substitution. At this stage of their careers Little and Glover are pass rush specialist and they excelled at it today. I saw Culberson at ILB where he loves contact and Ajedeyjo and Ryan on run downs is ingenious. But Linehan still must go and I think the players stated this in their play in the second half. Haslet would be my choice as Interim coach based on his head coaching experince but I think he has sabotaged Linehan from the begining. I think he felt he should have been head coach istead of Linehan. He hasn.t fully directed the defense the way he knows they can play. The offense is making progress and I wouldn’t want to loose the momentum they have built. The O Line did ok against the 4 man rush but the Rams need a hot route aginst the blitz inorder to nutualize it. Real quick he is my dream line up QB Bulger RB Jackson, FB Kreider, WR Avery and Holt, TE McMichael, T Pace and Greco, G Bell and Schuenig, on Defense LE Carricker, RE Long, DT Ryan and R Coleman (FA), MLB Colberson, OLB Witherspoon and Chamberlain, SS Tiasomoa, FS Atogwe. PS It seems as if Witherspoon and Atogwe are dragging their leg as if they have a legg injury.
