Much as he did Wednesday, Steven Jackson is sharing reps with the first team during 11-on-11 “team” periods today at Rams Park. Antonio Pittman, Kenneth Darby and Travis Minor also are working with the No. 1 unit at running back. Jackson sat out last Sunday’s game with a strained thigh muscle, and his status for the upcoming contest vs. Arizona is day-to-day, according to coach Jim Haslett.

Defensive end Leonard Little (hamstring) and defensive tackle Adam Carriker (ankle) again are limited to individiual drills. Also, wide receiver Drew Bennett is running on the side for the first time since breaking a bone in his foot in the season-opener.

All for now . . . more after practice.

I appreciate Coats’ updates but he always writes “all for now… more after practice.” However, there is never “more after practice.” Anyone else noticed that trend?
