Looker having tests for brain abnormality
Bill Coats
St. Louis Post-Dispatch

Wide receiver Dane Looker is undergoing several medical tests after doctors discovered what he described as a spot on his brain. Until a firm diagnosis is made, Looker is being held out of practice and games.

Looker, an eight-year veteran, suffered a concussion Sept. 28 against the Buffalo Bills. A CAT scan taken afterward revealed an abnormality, although it apparently was undetected until a re-examination of the results this week. It is unrelated to the concussion, team physician Matt Matava said. Matava said the tests were being done to rule out the presence of an aneurysm.

Looker underwent an MRA (magnetic resonance angiography) exam Tuesday and was scheduled for an MRI (magnetic resonance imaging) exam Wednesday afternoon. On Thursday, doctors will perform an angiogram, in which dye is sent into his brain through his femoral artery.

All for now . . .
