Ex-coach Mike Martz scoring big vs. St. Louis Rams

SAN FRANCISCO — Mike Martz must be having a ball this afternoon.
The 49ers OC watched his outfit pile up on 35 first-half points on the Rams, the team that gassed Martz as HC after the 2005 season. Included was a 28-point outburst in the second quarter.
After being pummeled 40-0 in the first half last week against the Jets, the Rams are down 35-3 this week. At least the Jets are a reputable foe; the 49ers that are dominating the Rams today have lost six games in a row. And yet it’s barely a competition.
Makes you wonder how much worse it can get for this woebegone team.
