Marc Bulger remains St. Louis Rams starting QB

Although he was noncommital Sunday in the wake of the Rams’ 47-3 thrashing at the hands of the New York Jets, Jim Haslett said Monday that Marc Bulger would remain the starting quarterback. Haslett said Trent Green suffered a minor injury to his right elbow while making a tackle after an interception, but should be available to back up Bulger on Sunday in San Francisco. The decision to start Bulger had nothing to do with Green’s elbow, Haslett stressed.

Haslett also disclosed that:

*CB Tye Hill was in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday, having his ailing knee checked out by Dr. James Andrews.

*RB Steven Jackson (thigh) remains day to day.

*WR/returner Derek Stanley suffered a high ankle sprain, but it’s not considered as serious as some such injuries are. He’s also day to day.

*LB Chris Draft (foot) probably will miss two more weeks.

*DE Eric Moore (neck) is still questionable.

All for now . . .

Starting Bulger? How much do we lose by this Sunday? Give Trent a shot.
This offense is going nowhere with Bulger, Holt and Jackson.

I agree with Tomar, Marc is playing with no emotion or leadership [rah, rah] feelings !! It’s like he’s being persecuted..
Maybe the 3rd. stringer could be a jewel in the rough, as Kurt Warner was !!
You don’t find out if ya don’t give them a chance !!

As we all know………the Rams draftS have sucked. It sure would be nice…in a lost year such as this, to be able to bring in a 3rd string QB that may have a future in this league as a #1. Instead, we have a 37 year old backup and a 3rd stringer that will never be a full time QB in the NFL. By the Rams lack of quality drafts, this team will not be able to turn the corner for at least two more seasons. Again, it would be nice to have a young gunslinging QB get his feet wet THIS year…but no, the Rams are stuck with a ‘has been’ (Green), a ‘never was’ (Bulger), and a ‘never will be’ (Berlin).

Sincerely,
Ryan Leaf

And to think they could have drafted Jay Cutler a few years ago. And why was Marc smiling in the fourth quarter of the game yesterday. I wonder if not keeping score in tee ball has made some players with very little competition in their game. Maybe they think that no one is keeping score like when they played teeball.

Also yesterday two former Rams Hedgecock and Curtis had great games and london is still tackling people and Warner is in first place. Gee we let all the great players leave.

Lifelong NJ born and bread Rams fan going back to the days of Roman, Les Josephson’s, Tom Mack and yes the feared “Fearsome Foursome”. I was there yesterday with my 10 year old Rams fan son in front of 90,000 Jets fan. What I thought was a $200 treat to see what I told him was a chance to see our team play hard and be a spoiler end up in complete embarrassment after 15 minutes of football. His wearing #39 jersey made for a very uncomfortable halftime. After he asked why the Rams don’t even play hard like the Jets do, I told him it was time to leave. We went to my division III college football field where I was a back up quarterback and threw the ball and ran patterns. Best 2 hours we could have spent. The lesson he learned was only if his football team tried as hard as dad did to become a backup in division III. Maybe something good did come out of a horrible display of a NFL team.

Chip, you know what they are you simply need to make the big boy decisions.

Jim Haslett said, either this team is just not capable, or the players just do not want to do it. Well, as a loyal longtime fan, I have STOPPED watching them for the season. Who wants to waste their Sunday watching this team make a complete fool of themselves on the field. Bulger, your a nice guy, but this team needs to show some Ram’s pride on that field. The fans are so angry, most have probably moved on to other Sunday activities. It is healthier than screaming at a TV set for 3 hours

I guess if you’re making a million a game, you gotta show up and toss the ball around a bit.

Lifelong Rams fan from NJ. Go back to Roman, Les Josephson, Billy Truax and yes the Fearsome Foursome. Well I went to the game with my 10 year old son wearing a #39 jersey in front of 90,000 Jets fans. What a waste of 200 dollars. Needless to say after a mear 15 minutes of Rams playing flag football it was very uncomfortable for each of us. Not that NJ/NY Northeast sports fan intimidated me (us) it was simply embarrassing to be there. Halftime we left and went to my division III college football field where I was a backup quarterback, yes back up and ran patterns throwing the ball for 2 hours. The more I thought about it something good did come from a horrible display of professionalism of a NFL team. When asked Dad “why don’t the Rams play hard like the Jets did today” my response was if only the Rams played with the heart of a college kid trying to make a Division III football team.

Chip you know what they are please step up and make the big boy decsions.
