Marc Bulger remains St. Louis Rams starting QB
Although he was noncommital Sunday in the wake of the Rams’ 47-3 thrashing at the hands of the New York Jets, Jim Haslett said Monday that Marc Bulger would remain the starting quarterback. Haslett said Trent Green suffered a minor injury to his right elbow while making a tackle after an interception, but should be available to back up Bulger on Sunday in San Francisco. The decision to start Bulger had nothing to do with Green’s elbow, Haslett stressed.
Haslett also disclosed that:
*CB Tye Hill was in Birmingham, Ala., on Monday, having his ailing knee checked out by Dr. James Andrews.
*RB Steven Jackson (thigh) remains day to day.
*WR/returner Derek Stanley suffered a high ankle sprain, but it’s not considered as serious as some such injuries are. He’s also day to day.
*LB Chris Draft (foot) probably will miss two more weeks.
*DE Eric Moore (neck) is still questionable.
All for now . . .

Bulger, Please ENOUGH of this Wimp’; He plainly Sux… I for one will not be watching this mediocre NFL Salary thief again. Enough is Enough. Next Sack I fully anticipate the GREAT MARC will curl up in the fetal position and start sucking his thumb.
The EvaluatorMan says give him his walking papers, absorb the losses and then move on.
Tough to say we should’ve drafted this guy or that guy but at least we know, going into the next draft, what we need. Fortunately, the silver lining is a high draft pick. Maybe we draft Chase Daniel this year and turn the page. I know it seems like a homer move but the guys got skills and seems to have the right attitude.
Sorry to reaad the John Eckel note, because I feel the same…
Used to have season tix for them when they were still in Anahiem.
My uncle first took me to the colesium to see ‘em. VERY 1st PLAY FROM SCRIMMAGE — Willie Ellison, 80 yds. vs. the NO Saints.
I’M HOOKED FOREVER.
Now I’m in Oregon. Taking my kid to SF this weekend. 8 hrs on the road…and I’m almost sad to go…
Not because they might lose, but because they might play like they are not trying. Might play again like they don’t care. I’m sure they do care, I’m sure they are trying, but I’m also sure it doesn’t look that way.
Saw Klop and Bell jogging after the fumble recovery runner…it’s sad…
Maybe it’ll rain to hard…
Its time to clean house. Let all the coaches go because obviously they aren’t doing the jobs they are paid to do. We need to bring in Marty from San Diego or Bill Cowher. I don’t blame Marc Bulger either, if Tom Brady were getting hit like he is this season and all last season I’m sure he wouldn’t put up the numbers he has in the last couple years. All I’m saying is a QB needs time to throw and Marc has none. So instead of bashing him why don’t we bash the offensive line and the offensive line coaches.
I would trade Bulger and a bag of footballs to KC for Thigpen at this point. Stop the excuses teams play with backups all the time and win let alone compete. We have to be like “Dixie” and start pulling weeds. At least 20 players on this roster need to find a new home.
GO RAMS

I have 50 yard line tickets to see the Rams play the 49′ers this Sunday….. I WANT TO SEE TRENT GREEN AT QUARTERBACK!!!!! I WILL “BLOW” ABOUT $500.00 WORTH OF THESE TICKETS THIS SUNDAY IF “MARK BULGER” IS THE QUARTERBACK!! Hey…I bet “Mark Bulger” and the former sorry head coach Scott Linehan are the sole reasons why the “Rams” aren’t on and won’t be on “Monday Night Football” in the near future!!! Please…”Chip”… bring this team back to “LA” where we will hold “our” NFL team accountable for “Success”!! Thank You!! Go Rams….:(
i ve f5433ng had enough of this sh88t it seems that anybody who takes a head coaching position in this {what i would call mickey mouse organization except it would be an insult to mickey mouse) has their pea sized brain goe into a fu786ing coma and decides that if trent green cant provide a f&^%%^ing miracle in a few minutes playing time we will just continue to let bulger p44ss away game after f5478ing game. enough already!! i say send haslett packing he’s a born f8765ing loser and keeps trying hard to prove it.Where is the outrage thats due this entire fiasco!!!
I said it before, and i will say it again. Bulger sucks. He is terrible and doesnt seem to give a s**t what happens out there. Isnt this about who the fans want to see? Lets see one of the two backups. I dont care which…but i just cant watch Bulger.
You can’t solve this in one draft, so you have to start with a rebuild of the defense. Defenses win football games. Leave the line alone and get a TRUE middle linebacker. The last good MLB they had was London Fletcher. Witherspoon is a good and talented player, but he is not a MLB. Stop the run with as few players as possible and you will have better success stopping the pass. They made Thomas Jones look like a hall of famer. When will they realize…………
Mike Q.,
I and my son will be in front of the TV this weekend to root on our beloved Rams. Difference is I will be rooting for you and your son as much if not more than the Rams to have a decent showing from our team.
By the way remember Cullen Bryant, Rich Saul, Isaias Robertson, Harold Jackson, Larwence McChucion etc..? Oh man if we could only back that intenssity to play hard we’d be talking 2008 playoffs vs. 2009 first round pick. good luck buddy
