Richie Incognito takes his turn ripping St. Louis Rams fans

Two years ago, it was Steven Jackson who jumped on Rams fans for selling their tickets to Bears supporters. “I have a big problem with that,” Jackson said. “There were a lot of Bears fans in sections they shouldn’t have been. . . . When we ran out in pregame, we were booed. It was terrible. I couldn’t believe it. To be at home and feel like I’m at a road game, it was just embarrassing.”

Now, with the Bears — and their legions of fans — coming to the Edward Jones Dome on Sunday, Richie Incognito piped up.

“It seems like our fans aren’t coming to the game, so it’s fun when the other fans come in and start hooting and hollering. At least someone is in the Dome yelling,” Incognito said after practice Thursday. “When we played the Giants (Sept. 14 at the Dome), they had the whole lower bowl filled up (with Giants fans). We know how our fans feel about us; that’s fine.

“It’s nice to have the other fans here. At least they cheer. Our fans get in their seats, they don’t know how to cheer, when to cheer. We get the other team’s fans coming in, and they cheer real nice for us. It provides for a good football atmosphere, having the Chicago fans down here.”

Notes & quotes:

*Incognito (shoulder) was a full participant in practice and, barring a setback, will start at RG on Sunday. Still, coach Jim Haslett would like to get rookie John Greco some reps in the game.

*Jackson said that his strained thigh muscle is feeling better and that the plan is to have him go through a demanding workout Saturday, then see how it responds. He’s hopeful that he’ll be able to return Nov. 30 vs. Miami.

*Thursday’s practice was unusually physical. “That’s how this game’s going to have to be played this week,” Haslett said.

All for now . . .

What he said is absolutely true. All of you younger fans (25 and younger) that go to the game now know why the Cardinals left here too. This is simply not a football town.

You might want to check your historical facts. Bidwill left town because he couldn’t get local governments to build him a stadium. Said it at the time, says it now. When the stadium vote won, he was asked what would have happened if it had occured five years earlier. He said from Phoenix “this would be a local call.” The Big Red were consistently in the top third of the league in percentage of seats sold. The fans had NOTHING to do with the Big Red going to Arizona.

Richie, you are one stupid prick. How DARE you blast the fans, you mediocre obnoxious penalty machine?

Season ticket holder since the beginning. Just don’t think I can stomach this nonsense anymore. Not at $1500 a year (not counting PSL money) and a two hour trip from Columbia ten days a year.

Enjoy, Richie…foolish, foolish, arrogant meat-head.

Quite simply, the average Rams fan is far more subdued and more concerned about people NOT standing and blocking their view and LESS concerned about actually supporting the team….Goto KC, GB or Chicago if you don’t believe it. I’ve seen people being told to sit down because other “fans” were aggravated by their noise and excitement. Like it or not, it’s the truth.

Good for you Richie tell them like it is! I have been to a lot of football statiums in my travels and I have never been to a Stadium were the fans arrive at the game in the first quarter and leave by the begining of the fourth quarter. I’ve had to remind fans around me to cheer otherwise they just seat there and stare. When the other teams offensive is on the field they should be screaming “defense” no they are just staring. I guess Steven and Richie are just telling it like it is! It’s hard for you St. Louis fans to accept the way you are especially coming from a player who does play with great energy. In other cities like N.Y. Greenbay Wisconsin, Seattle,Pittsburg and many other cities where there team is losing or winning they are still shouting at the top of there lungs maybe not what a player might want to hear all the time but they are there through the worst of times and the good ones too. Because that’s what other fans do in football stadiums across this country. In St. Louis you are more amused by the other teams fans hollering and shouting just for entertainment. The choice of music they play is what you hear in elevators ! The sound system is so bad the fans have to be quite so that they can hear it! The drummers are Ok, you might as well seat them up in the nose bleed section cause you can hardly hear them, So until you St.Louis fans learn how to be loyal fans and take a message well sent from Incognito and Jackson or just live with other fans ruling your dome. Remember players don’t have a choice of where they play they are drafted. It’s the organization that signs the players and coaches and makes all the decision on game day. Just telling you like it is!

…un f’n believable!! The fact that millionare football players (or those who imposter professional athletes) would have the nerve to trash talk fans whose $$’s pay their salaries when you’ve won 5 games in 2 years is mind boggling!!

Yes, the atmosphere is sterile, uh, maybe the fact that watching this team is like watchin retarded children trying to play a grown up’s sport…doesn’t help the game day vibe either…it’s more like…”oh, how sad…who let those athletically challenged kids play with the big boys!” And yes, fans may grab their cocktail and sit back and get lit to ease the pain as they’re asking themselves ”why do I continuously waste my hard earned dollars and one of the only days I don’t have to work, to come down here and be disquisted?”

Does this D Bag also not realize there’s 10 million people out of work and he’s lucky to have a job at all much less one where you can show up for work everyday, not do your job and still get to keep it? I’m quite surprised this steriod freak even has the nutz to make such a statement to the media!!

Shut the F up and win a game and then you can run your mouth all you want you idiot…and when you do run it I’m sure it’ll be during a drive killing moment that costs the team the game.

oh, by the way…the Bears fans are cheering for u because u suck and it’s a guaranteed W on their schedule…they know it’s probably the only cheers you’ll hear all season!

Until the Rams start putting a product on the field that at least can pretend to care about what they’re doing…I’d rather spend my Sundays watching ice freeze!
