St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson already ruled out for Sunday’s game
There will be no intrigue this week regarding Steven Jackson’s availability for Sunday’s game against the Bears. Jackson already has been ruled out, meaning that the strained thigh muscle that originally was thought to be a one- or two-day injury is extending toward six weeks.
Jackson was injured in the fourth quarter Oct. 19 against the Cowboys. He reaggravated the injury two weeks later when he tried to come back vs. the Cardinals, and has been sidelined since then.
Jackson saw a specialist late last week. “They feel that he should be out this week, rest him,” coach Jim Haslett said. “We’ll see what happens next week.” The injury was rediagnosed as a strain. “It’s just going to take some time to heal,” Haslett said.
Elsewhere on the injury front:
*LT Orlando Pace will miss two to four weeks a knee ligament injury.
*CB Ron Bartell is day-to-day with a soft-tissue injury to his knee.
*RB Kenneth Darby has a slight strain of his ribs.
*LB Chris Draft (foot) will be out two to three more weeks.
*DT La’Roi Glover has torn cartilage in his knee, originally suffered a couple of weeks ago, but should be able to play.
*CB Tye Hill (knee) will resume jogging this week.
*G Richie Incognito (shoulder) was scheduled for an MRI exam later Monday.
*DE Eric Moore (neck) will return to practice this week.

Notes & quotes:
*After a discussion with his coaching staff Monday, Haslett has decided to stick with Marc Bulger at QB.
*If Incognito is out Sunday, rookie John Greco will start at RG . . . if Greco’s left knee is OK. His kneecap popped out of place briefly in practice Friday.
*Adam Goldberg will step in for Pace at LT.
All for now . . .

I’m a huge Ram fan from Los Angeles going on 30years so I’ve seen a lot and have been through tough times but this is ridiculous…
Jim H. is at best a Def coordinator and has no business running a team, the answer is Marty S. (Marty-Ball) bring him on…
Our organization is chaotic beginning with ownership to upper management to players being miserable and just quitting on the team.
Everyone needs to be evaluated from top to bottom and get rid of whoever doesn’t want to be here. We need to nip the loosing culture
now before we become the perennial laughing stock of the NFL. (again) I know we’ve had a lot of injuries but that’s not an excuse they’re
all Pros and need to step up. I believe there’s many factors why we SUCK and it’s mainly in part of ownership, GM, coaching and scouting .
I never liked Scott and I’m not trying to excuse him but how we’re playing obviously he was only a part of the problem and solely responsible.
Still #1 RAM fan…
