St. Louis Rams won’t discipline Richie Incognito
For those of you who wanted to see petulant guard Richie Incognito sent packing, or at least disciplined in some manner . . . it’s not going to happen. Not yet, anyway.
In order, Incognito over the last few days:
*Criticized the Rams fans.
*Flipped an obscene gesture as he was being filmed at practice by a local TV station.
*Egged on the fans at the Edward Jones Dome after Sunday’s 27-3 loss to the Bears, then denied having done so to reporters a few minutes later.
But coach Jim Haslett said Monday that after talking with Incognito, he plans no action against him. But Haslett stressed that Incognito is on a very short leash.
“I heard about the situation yesterday, and I met with him this morning to discuss it,” Haslett said. “I’ve heard about five or six different versions, so I’m not really sure which scenario is the actual one. That being said, I don’t condone it, I’m not really sure what he gets out of it. If it’s a joke or if it’s not a joke, I think the team takes it very serious, coming off the loss. I think he should understand that.
“The way we played and the way the situation came out, I don’t think we can stand for that anymore, and I think he understands that. I told him it was inappropriate at the time, especially after (a lopsided defeat). If it happens again, then obviously whatever action we can take as a team would hurt both him and this football team. I think he understands that, and I think he understands that it can’t happen again.”

Notes & quotes:
*RB Steven Jackson (thigh) suffered no ill effects after going through a strenuous workout Saturday. He ran again Monday and is expected to return to practice Wednesday.
*C Nick Leckey broke a bone in his foot during the pregame warmups and will be placed on injured reserve Tuesday. He is the ninth Rams player to suffer a season-ending injury.
*T Orlando Pace (knee) also will try to practice Wednesday.
*QB Marc Bulger (concussion) is scheduled for a neuro exam Wednesday.

Incognito is an absolute bum. I knew this guy was a loser last year when he was down on Main St-St. Charles trying to act like a superstar. Nobody cared that he was there except him. How old are you? You still call yourself Richie? I wish everyone could have seen him when the Bears’ fans started in on him. Even they had no respect for him. I was at the 50 yard line in the 2nd row on Sunday. If anyone saw, I made a sign that read “Let us know when to cheer Richie.” I am still waiting.
I will still continue to support the Rams win or loss, but let’s see a good game.
Send a message to the fans, the management, the city and the players that this is not Rams football. Cut Incognito.
It’s funny that everyone wants the rams to man up and play and want some heart….But here is a player who has been mean and nasty and is fired up (richie) and everyone wants him canned… Have you been to a game in the dome…he is right the fans are horrible…I have been to games and think am I am in the wrong stadium is this the right jersey….Do we have much to cheer for sure an early round pick but hey its something… I say this team needs more players that get dirty and want to work, let call romanoski(spelling) and see if he want to come play Backer for us at least he played with emotion…. and thats the biggest problem with this team….
what a joke this CLOWN Haslett is
Haslett says I don’t condone it, I’m not really sure what he gets out of it. If it’s a joke or if it’s not a joke, I think the team takes it very serious, coming off the loss. I think he should understand that.
EDDIE who cares what he gets out of it……he says he takes it seriously coming after a loss, o.k…..so if the team is winning u just do whatever u want….this is EXACTLY what he did in New Orleans, when there was reports Joe horn was sleeping with Willie Roafs wife, what does he do, he trades the Hall of Fame tackle, for a draft pick to KC, to save his reputation, but hurting the organization….what a total clown this guy is, so again Haslett is only mad because people what answers, but if the team was playing average, who cares if the ants are eating away at the foundation…..and I love the last quote, “I think he should understand this”….he should, imagine Belichik saying that, none of this He Should, either he does or he’s gone, that’s the circus of Jim Haslett….
Haslett also says..The way we played and the way the situation came out, I don’t think we can stand for that anymore, and I think he understands that. I told him it was inappropriate at the time, especially after (a lopsided defeat). If it happens again, then obviously whatever action we can take as a team would hurt both him and this football team. I think he understands that, and I think he understands that it can’t happen again.”
EDDIE o I get it, because the heat is on Haslett, he can’t allow this, but if things were blamed on the players inwhich haslett does each week, he can’t stand for it….what a loser…and remember if it happens again, so another words if haslett’s team wins he doesn’t care if these guys commit a murder….
don’t the rams fans deserve better…I mean yesterday with his job on the line Romeo crannel said, “the buck stops here”…why can’t Haslett ever take some responsbility of anything, I mean he was the glorified one when they beat washington and Dallas, it was the great coaching job by haslett, according to these five clowns in the st.louis media…jim thomas, b coats, bernie, godo and burwell….these guys are a joke, they would never make it in a major media outlet
and lastly, the biggest joke of all its the poll question….option 3 they have the nerve of saying “his impressive resume”….what impressive resume, as a coach with the saints, d coordinator with the steelers, assistant at oakland and d. coordinator and interim coach with the rams, how many playoff games has this joker won, whats the defensive rankings of his defenses….
what the heck are they talking about impressive resume….if the rams job is OPENLY available, Haslett will be competing with guys who won super bowls
and I will leave u with this, the only team besides the rams who were serious about hiring this guy as a head coach was matt millan, doesn’t that tell u something…
Go Dolphins, beat haslett and his defending st. louis media defenders
We’d gain a minimum of 30 yards per game if RI played
center. He couldn’t possibly get false start penalites
when he’s snapping the ball……….could he.?? Well maybe,
but then we could really laugh him out of town….
What a complete idiot Incognito is. Talk about an appropriate surname, too. I remember a time the Rams had players on the O-line like Tom Mack, Charlie Cowan, Jackie Slater - quality guys that shut their mouths and let their play on the field do the talking for them. What unbelievable gall he has to get mad and taunt the fans. Of course, when you and your cohorts are getting steamrollered all day long, I guess you have to take your frustration out on somebody. Great idea - blame the fans for your own bumbling ineptitude. Like far too many on this current team of quitters, an absolute disgrace to that uniform.
