St. Louis Rams punter Donnie Jones snubbed for Pro Bowl
The Rams will have no representatives in Honolulu on Feb. 8, when the NFL’s all-stars gather for the Pro Bowl. That’s not terribly surprising, considering their 2-12 season. Still, punter Donnie Jones should’ve made the NFC squad instead of Jeff Feagles of the Giants. Consider the numbers:
Jones is averaging an NFL-high 50.2 yards per punt. If he maintains that pace, it would be a league record. Feagles’ average is more than 6 yards less — 44.0. They’re closer in net average, but again Jones has the edge, 40.9 yards to 40.1.
Here are the Pro Bowl rosters:

All for now . . .

Jones should absolutely be on the team! I mean seriously, he’s the most active player on the Rams.
I would also question the RB’s in the AFL.
Learn some math. It’s a 6.2 yard deference. That’s still a lot though.
“Learn some math”. Learn some spelling math whiz.
How does Walter Jones make it from a 2-11 team and the best punter in the league gets dissed? At least give Jones his due…he is the only Ram excelling in his job!
It’s a popularity contest, and St. Louis and their owners have never been popular with the NFL. I see some perrenial pro-bowlers on the list that really didn’t have that good of years. Jones deserved to go, but when your 2-11 what do we expect.
As I look over the list of pro-bowlers I only recognize one name (Kurt Warner) that ever played for the Rams. If that is so, what does that say about the Ram’s draft prowess?
And Kurt wasn’t even drafted!
What a joke - dissing Jones! How pathetic! With that being said, who really cares? I’d rather watch synchronized swimming over the Pro Bowl.
I can’t figure out how Carney made the team as kicker since the Giants have benched him at times this season.
Feagles isn’t in the top 10 categories of all punters in the NFL. Goes to show you that if your team wins you win no matter how bad you are.
