For the second Sunday in succession, fans wanting to see the Rams play will have to show up at the Edward Jones Dome. Although the local-television deadline isn’t until noon Thursday, team officials acknowledged Wednesday afternoon that the game against the 49ers has no chance of selling out and will be blacked out here. About 7,000 tickets remain for the final home game of the season.

Notes & quotes:

*P Donnie Jones missed practice Wednesday because of illness.

*Special-teamer Gary Stills (knee) won’t practice all week but still could play Sunday.

*K Josh Brown won’t kick until Friday, as he did last week after suffering a minor groin injury.

*Practice-squad DT Willie Williams skirmished with — guess who? — G Richie Incognito at practice.

*Don’t be surprised if during offseason workouts, the Rams experiment with Jacob Bell at right tackle and John Greco at center.

All for now . . .

John Greco can play center next year? We can’t even give him snaps are Guard on a 2-12 team with Bell and Incognito as our current Guards. How can that be? He should play every down the next two games. No wonder the young players never improve on this team.

Alex Mack needs to be the Rams center in 2009 not Greco.

Gee. Why not try the undersized Jacob Bell at C and bring in a couple of road grading guards???

Everyone should come out to the game to cheer for Isaac Bruce. That’s why I’m going. If the rams happen to win that would be nice too.

All right. We might get to see some good football. The NFL seems to think we only want to see midwest teams. Pittsburgh at Tennessee would be great or how about Arizona at NE? There aren’t any NFC teams worth watching on Sunday at 1PM

Maybe they could have sold out if there had been some tv ads to sell tickets for this game. And why won’t they sell the tickets at a discounted rate when it gets within a week of the game. Maybe then it would reach a sellout. I dont understand why they would rather have empty seats rather than reduce the price to fill the stands. Plus the TV blackout is a silly rule and what does it accomplish? I mean last weeks game wasnt shown on tv and it didnt make this weeks game be sold out. If you have a ticket and you dont want to go then give it to me .

I am a season ticket holder and I should have used my tickets to wipe my rear-end… what a waste of a season and I can’t even give my tickets away at this point.

Anybody who “can’t give their tickets away” can give them to me. I still like to go to see the NFL!
