Stream of consciousness:
*If I’d had an MVP vote, it would’ve gone to Chad Pennington. The Dolphins don’t even come close to 11-5 without him.
*How ironic that Eric Mangini had Brett Favre foisted on him with the Jets, lost Pennington in the process, then got fired after Favre tanked down the stretch.
*Has Favre announced his retirement yet?
*Kurt Warner surely has a number of fans in St. Louis, but what about the Big Red (aka Desert Rats) in general? Hate ‘em or love ‘em?
*I was more impressed with Leslie Frazier’s Minnesota defense than I was with Rex Ryan’s Baltimore defense Sunday. Frazier doesn’t have nearly the talent Ryan does.
*A Rams front-office type once dismissed Darren Sproles, then at Kansas State, as a “midget.” The little fella was a giant for the Chargers on Saturday, eh?
*With the Colts out, the 9-8 Chargers are the hottest team still alive. They’ve won five straight.
*Ray Lewis can still bring it.
*Nice to see ex-Rams wideout and good guy Kevin Curtis finally healthy and participating in the Eagles’ success.
*To Rams fans showing interest inĀ Michael Vick . . . uh, no.
*This just in: Rams GM Billy Devaney has sought permission to interview every assistant coach in the NFL.
All for now . . .
