Frazier feels comfortable with St. Louis Rams
Not only did Leslie Frazier get a job interview with the St. Louis Rams, he got a couple of meals out of his trip to Los Angeles. Frazier, the assistant head coach-defensive coordinator of the Minnesota Vikings, was the first of three head-coaching candidates to hold his finalist interview with team ownership and front office members.
Frazier’s formal interview lasted a few hours with team owners Chip Rosenbloom and Lucia Rodriguez, senior advisor John Shaw, and general manager Billy Devaney all on hand. It’s believed that Rams director of player personnel Lawrence McCutcheon also was present for the interview.
According to league sources, the Rams were impressed with Frazier’s interview. He came across as thoughtful and organized. On Tuesday night, Frazier had dinner with Devaney and McCutcheon. Before leaving town Wednesday morning, Frazier had breakfast with Devaney.
A source close to Frazier said he left Los Angeles feeling comfortable with the Rams’ ownership and front office personnel that he met.
Dallas assistant head coach-offensive coordinator Jason Garrett is scheduled to interview with the Rams Wednesday, and New York Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo is due to interview Thursday.

Sounds like the interview went well with Frazier. Wouldn’t mind having him as a coach. Has anyone heard how the interview went with Garrett or Spags. And also was the interview they had with Ryan in Tennessee considered his finalist interview??
I think there may be some errors in this article. Doesn’t Garrett interview today (Wednesday), and Spagnuolo tomorrow (Thursday)?
Frazier should be our man. Have him team up with Martz. even the Lions had improved every year he was there. So did San Fran. Frazier should have an instant impact on defense. After Frazier takes over, Devany and co should draft that will actually help the defense and the offense. Not just window dressing only to release them in training camp or stuff them deep in the depth chart.
I don’t understand the interest in Jason Garrett. He has no apparent leadership ability, and his players don’t respect him. We already had that with Linehan.
The more I hear about Frazier the more I think he is the right person and the right coach for the job.
While my first choice would be Rex Ryan, followed by Steve Spagnuolo, I have to admit that I’d not be too disappointed to see us hire Frazier. I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about him and have read that his defense would be a blend of (amongst other things) Tony Dungy’s “Cover Two” defense and some of the stuff that he has learned from Jim Johnson. Dungy and Johnson are two of the best defensive minds to coach in the NFL in the last 15 years or so, so I’d be comfortable with that.
I don’t want Garrett at all. I’d even prefer Haslett over him and that isn’t saying much for Garrett.
I still wish that they would have looked at Jim Schwartz, but I’d be happy with Ryan, Spagnuolo or Frazier.
Is it too late to bring Kurt back home?
well..i really hope you guys hire someone else!
Frazier is the only thing us vikings have in our coaching tree.
