Garrett arrives in St. Louis for “second interview” with Rams

Jason Garrett landed in St. Louis early Friday evening with his wife Brill, and told the Post-Dispatch that he was just here for a second interview and that no job had been offered.

Minutes earlier, en route to the airport, Devaney was singing the same tune.

“It’s part of the interview process,” Devaney insisted. “He wanted to look at the facility. We’re not close to moving on Jason Garrett. I’m not even going to say he’s the leading guy.”

Take that for what it’s worth, but Garrett is the only finalist to visit St. Louis. And he did have his wife with him. Devaney also said that he’d already made his recommendation to owner Chip Rosenbloom on who he wanted to hire as the next Rams head coach.

Devaney said he hoped to reach a decision by Monday on the next Rams head coach.

Garrett and Devaney have a lot in common. They’re both from New Jersey. They’re both big Bruce Springsteen fans, and they’re both represented by the same agent _ David Dunn.

Perhaps no contract has been offered, but I wouldn’t be surprised if one is before he leaves. I have faith in Devaney, but this isn’t my first choice…

Look what happened under the watch of an offense mind. We need a “D” coach that will coach the “D” and hire an “O” guy to coach the “O”. Look at the success of both the Ravens and Falcons.

Please! Please! Do not make this the choice for head coach. If he is your choice then this whole process is nothing but a joke. Garrett’s offensive schemes were nothing he couldn’t utilize some best players in the NFL in Dallas.
The Rams should have kept Haslett if this is their choice! This smells like straight BULL_ _ _ _!

If Devaney has already made his recommendation then why have Garrett come? For what reason? Did Chip not like Devaney’s recommendation? I’m doubting that. It seems like a big leap of faith by Devaney but, compared to some of the other knuckleheads we’ve had here, he deserves some trust. Just please tell me that T.O. is not part of the deal.

I do not know if it’s the right guy, Ido not know if he will be the guy, but I tell you, I never laughed so much in my life. The posts and comments of you are too funny.
The only certainty that I have, we have the funniest fans throughout the NFL. Very fun, all of you.

I hope I am wrong, but this has John Shaw’s stench all over it. Please hire Leslie Frazier Chip. Get Shaw out of our hair. He doesn’t deserve to be here. He is a cancer. Him and Al Davis would be a great pair. Send him to the Raiders so he can be with his own meddling kind. We don’t want him.

There are those of us who have stood by the Rams and had faith that Chip and Bill were trying to direct the team back to respectability. Now you pull a Garrett on us? Take until Monday to announce it, though. THat will give you the time you need to come up with a master spin job that makes us believe your baloney is filet.

You’ve destroyed my fairth and ripped my heart out. I’ll never forgive you. 2 PSLs are now for sale.
