Spagnuolo to be named head coach of St. Louis Rams
St. Louis Post-Dispatch
As first reported by columnist Bernie Miklasz in his “Bernie’s Press Box” forum on STLtoday.com, the St. Louis Rams have selected Giants defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo to be their head coach.
The team is expected to announce the hiring of Spagnuolo later today.
More details from Rams Park as they become available.
Earlier Saturday: Dallas Cowboys offensive coordinator Jason Garrett left St. Louis this morning, and league sources said at the time that Garrett no longer was in consideration for the Rams’ job.

It’s Spagnuolo per Bernie. Any confirmation on that?
Thanks Billy. You are the man!
Nice work Billy. Any of the remaining 3 of Spags, Frazier, or Ryan would be good!!
NICE!!!!!!
If its Spags, that works for me!! Now maybe we can have a DEFENSE for once!!
Let me just say, as a Giants fan, that you guys are getting one heck of a coach. I was keeping my fingers crossed that the Rams would go in another direction only to keep Spags with us for one more year…but he deserves the oppurtunity and I wish him the best of luck with your organization.
He will forever go down in Giants history as the Def Coordinator that put a stop to the most prolific passing game in NFL history on the biggest stage in sports.
We should all trust in Billy Devaney, a real football man finally.
Wait…no we shouldn’t, he has no idea what he’s doing. He lied to us.
Er…, forget all that, yes we should again. He is the man!
Too funny.
Anyway, good choice by Devaney. The final 3 or 4 were all strong candidates. Job well done and a media well played. Now the real hard work begins.
God is Good. And Skip is truly an intelligent owner. This truly is a great new year. 1-My church has a new pastor I can believe in, Fr. Grimaldi, 2- Mr. Obama WILL lead our country to greatness again,(my first winning vote since 1960) 3- Devaney and Spagnuolo can and will lead the Rams back to The PLAYOFFS! It’s a new Day in Ram Nation. I’ve emained a Ram faithful since my first game seen in 1952 in the LA Coliseum.

Thanks, Bill Devaney, for ultimately sticking to your word and picking a defensive oriented coach who will bring some toughness to this team. This is exactly what the Rams need right now.
This just in. Garrett to become rams next offensive coordinator. You heard it here first!
