Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo has added Bruce Warrick to his staff as director for football operations and hired Andre Curtis as a defensive assistant.

Warrick comes to the Rams from the University of Tennessee, where he had been the Vols’ assistant athletic director for football operations the past two years. Contrary to some speculation, Warrick will not handle contracts and negotiations. He will, however, handle a variety of administrative tasks as Spagnuolo’s right-hand man. Warrick basically takes over the position held by Jeff Horton during the Scott Linehan tenure.

Curtis, 32, comes to the Rams from the New York Giants, where he has spent the past three seasons as a defensive quality control coach, an entry level position. Curtis coached linebackers at Virginia Military Institute from 2000-03, and coached defensive endsat Georgia Southern in 2004-05. His exact duties in St. Louis may depend on other hires.

While Spagnuolo’s offensive staff is almost completely set, so far only Curtis and Paul Ferraro have been hired to work with defensive coordinator Ken Flajole.

I read these post and I just shake my head. This man is the perfect fit for this position. Do you think this will turn the Rams around because we hired this guy. When Dick Vermiel and Charley Armey where here we had the best of the best. Best coach, Best General Manager/ head of player personnel. But for some unknown reason John Shaw and Jay Sigmond had to bring in new people. Why? That is the question that no one can answer except John and Jay. Charley and Dick have to much class to go crying to the press, but Dam is that hard to see that we really should have had an unbeatable dynasty from 2000-2004. No one could have come close if we didn’t have a head coach that was so full of himself that a high school coach could have come in with more common sense and won with that team. I hope for the cities sake that these new guys do what is expected of them, and I hope if they do, the people running the show will have enough sense to keep them this time. Dick, Charley thank you for the memories!!!
