St. Louis Rams “mystery” candidate: Jason Garrett; finalists set

Jason Garrett, the assistant head coach-offensive coordinator of the Dallas Cowboys, is the so-called “mystery” candidate in the Rams’ head-coaching search, league sources told the Post-Dispatch on Monday. Barring an unexpected complication, Garrett will interview Wednesday in Los Angeles as one of the Ram’s finalist interviews.

According to league sources, the Rams have settled in on five finalists: current Rams coach Jim Haslett already has taken part in his finalist interview last week in L.A.; Minnesota assistant head coach-defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier is scheduled to interview there Tuesday; and it has now been confirmed that Steve Spagnuolo of the New York Giants will interview in Los Angeles on Thursday. (The Giants have granted St. Louis permission to speak to Spagnulo.)

The fifth finalist is Baltimore assistant head coach-defensive coordinator Rex Ryan. The only reason why Ryan was interviewed in Baltimore Sunday instead of in Los Angeles is because the Ravens are still alive in the NFL playoffs. Whether the Rams can afford to wait on Ryan, particularly if the Ravens win Sunday, remains to be seen.

I think Garret would be a great addition, he is a no nonsense, productive offensive coordinator with a ton of NFL experience. Not to mention the football knowledge in his own family (brother=tight ends coach, dad=pro scout). Bring him and Capers in and lets win some ball games!!!

Hey Rams Fans…!!

We are all missing the point here. We need to sell tickets. Thats the bottom line. Management knows this, office people in marketing knows this and most of all ownership knows this. Not to mention, of all people Jim Hazlet knows this. That is why and I agree he mention about bringing back Mike Martz. Rams Fans, we don’t have to agree on everthing, being smart is something we all can use a little more of. Mad Mike was not call a genious for nothing. The man knows his X’s and O’s. So give Haz a nice one year deal and let the GSOT part 2 begin. I will take a score of 40 to 33 anytime. Late come backs and close loses anytime compare to 42-10 blowouts and giving up in the first quarter.

09Rams could be 99Rams…all over again..!!

Torry Holt stays…Martz bring back The BRUUUUUCE..!!

GSOT II

Rams Fans For LIFE….Win or Loose..!!

Go Rams

no offense to jim haslett, but in order to break the losing trend you have to clean house and start over, does anyone remember oc jerry rohme calling for tony banks handing off to june henley, and probably fumbling the snap. lol a new owner ,,chip, great , new gm ,devaney ,,great, new head coach, spags ,great , how about a couple of plentiful drafts member barron 05 bust t.hill o6 average nickel back at best, carriker 07 avg dline man, c.long 08 da future the consistantly most successful formula in da nfl is power run game control da clock and smothering defense which leads to great special teams loved the giants in 86 amd 90 dont waist cap money on wrs build an oline with a.smith of bama and a free agent then focus your draft on defense the football gods and devaney know we need it
