All indications are that a deal is imminent between the Rams and center-guard Jason Brown that will land the team the first free agent of the Steve Spagnuolo coaching tenure.

So assuming they sign Brown and that Pace is gone, how does the O-line shake out? There was talk of moving Alex Barron to LT (DeMarco Farr is very high on this idea) and Greco becoming a starter. I’m not sure Barron can handle LT but Farr feels his problems have been ineffective coaching.

This is a very good sign. The middle of the O-line is a good place to start the rebuilding process. Now they need to address the secondary. Unfortunately, Bartell’s contract will be shocking, considering the fact that DeAngelo Hall just signed for around $9 million per year.

Bartell becomes priority #1 if this is true, in my opinion, closely followed by James Butler. Get all three done, and you have the makings of an OUTSTANDING start to the offseason.

This is exciting. Now if they can somehow get Pace to restructure our o-line will look pretty good. Pace, Bell, Brown, Incognito and Barron, of course assuming Spags can get Barron and Cogs to play without a million penalties. Then we draft Curry at #2 and sign a couple more free agents. Things are looking up. GO RAMS!!!

Foxworth getting 16.5 guaranteed, with max of 28mil on a 4 year deal? There’s no way he’s a better player than Ron Bartell. My 12 year old would have been an above average QB in 2008 playing against the Rams (ZERO Pass Rush) and yet Bartell was the best CB in the NFC West. That’s gotta say something, a QB’s being able to sit back and enjoy a long weekend before someone from the front 7 gets their hands on him and Bartell doing what he did. Step up gentlemen; pay the kid the market rate and let’s get him back before he gets away.
